Kid´s Checklist for Moving

Kids:

You can make your part of the move Fast & Fun!  Just check-off each of the following items on your checklist -- and before you know it you´ll be ready to have new adventures at your new home along with meeting new friends.

ð  FRIENDS:  Tell your friends that you are moving.  Be sure to get their address and telephone number and Email address.  This way, you can write and call them.

ð  PETS:  Be sure to tell your pets that you all are moving and reassure them that they are going to love their new home.  In fact, you should give them extra hugs!

ð  TEACHERS:  Remember to say goodbye to your teachers and tell them that you´ll learn as much as you can at your new school.

ð  BEDTIME STORIES:  Be sure to pack your bedtime stories for your moving trip.

ð  TOYS:  While you are traveling you need to have a small bag of toys, coloring books, crayons, pen, pencil and games.  You will want to keep yourself busy while the movers are packing and unpacking your belongings.

ð  PACKING BOXES:  When the movers are packing your stuff be sure to have them put your name on each of your boxes and label what´s inside the box.  This way you´ll know where everything is when you get to your new home.

ð  TRAVELING:  When you leave your old home for your new home you may be staying overnight in a hotel so be sure to bring a night light or flashlight.

ð  IMPORTANT STUFF:  You will want to have your favorite blanket or stuffed animal with you when you travel to keep you company.  Be sure to bring it along too!

Remember, you are going to have fun meeting new friends and exploring your new neighborhood.  At first it will seem a bit different, but don´t worry.  In no time, at all, you´ll be feeling right-at-home!!!
