Torrey Pines State Beach is one of the many popular places. They have hang-gliding where you can watch and picnic or purchase food from the onsite grill. Schools rank in approximately the top 3% of the State. Del Mar Racetrack is only minutes away.

Downtown San Diego is approximately 25 minutes away. Lindberg Field (San Diego´s International Airport) is approximately a 20-25 minute ride. [of course, commuting to these areas depends much on traffic conditions as San Diego´s growth has made the freeways more congested at certain times] University California San Diego-La Jolla is only minutes away. Many cultural activities stem from the University and nearby La Jolla. Movies, Book Stores, Classes & Activities, Art Galleries, Recitals, Plays, Fine Restaurants & Nightlife along with High-End Shopping. You´ll find many intelligent and accomplished people here. You might consider this easy to exaggerate but the cultural life and its amenities are available with the University.
